How to play Nine Men's Morris

Nine Men's Morris is a game that plays with 2 players. It's an Abstract Strategy game where the core of play revolves around Pattern Building and Grid Movement. A two-player game of placing and moving nine pieces to form 'mills' of three-in-a-row, each mill letting a player remove an opponent's piece. Played for over 2,000 years (Roman boards survive; hugely popular in medieval Europe), it is one of the most enduring abstract strategy games.
