Clock

Follow the cards around the dial. Can you outrun the fourth king?

How to play Clock

Deal four cards into each of 13 face-down piles: twelve hours and a central king pile. Reveal the center’s top card to begin.

  1. Place the revealed card at the matching hour: ace at 1, numbered cards at their number, jack at 11 and queen at 12. Kings go in the center.
  2. The placed card stays face up beneath its pile. Reveal that pile’s next hidden card and repeat.
  3. Win by placing all 52 cards. If the fourth king leaves you with no card to reveal before all cards are placed, the deal is lost. There is no redeal.

Tap the highlighted hour, the revealed card or “Place next.” Auto play follows the same forced moves and stops at the result. Score counts placed cards, from 0 to 52. Undo lets you revisit a turn without changing the hidden order.

Keyboard: Tab between buttons, then Enter or Space to play. Published rules reference.

Questions

Is Clock a strategy game?

Clock is entirely determined by the shuffled deal. Each revealed card has exactly one destination. Auto play and manual play reach the same result.

What does the practice deal do?

It loads a fixed, tested winning layout. Ordinary New game deals are random and may lose. All games finish in at most 52 placements.
